Branson, MO Here comes the Geaschels

On Thursday, Sept. 4th, Bill called from work and said that he had Friday, and Mon-Wed off work. He said "let's go to Branson!!".
You can imagine what my day looked like. Planning a 5 day trip for 10 people in a matter of hours, including figuring out where we are going to stay, packing, freezing food to bring with us, and all the other things that go with a vacation. As it turned out (these pictures are posted in reverse order) we first went to KY to go to the Creation Museum, we then stayed with some friends for 2 nights in Louisville, and after that headed to Branson for 3 days. We drove a total of 26 hours, and lots of miles, but we had a great time. While in Branson we stayed at a condo (had to listen to the 90 minute speal, but we had 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 3 kitchens, and at least 6 tv's{not that we had time to watch them}).

Down in Louisville

We spent 2 days with the Barnes family in Louisville, KY while on our Sept. last- minute family trip. As you can see, the kids attempted a camp-out, and 4 of the kids didn't quite make it through the night. Thanks Barnes' family for hosting us, and for making new memories with our family.

Creation Museum Sept, 2008

Creation Museum in Kentucky. Pictured are a zorse (zebra-horse), and then some pictures of the Adam and Eve account in Genesis. The last picture is Methusala, while the ark is being built.

Boone County and Winnebago County Fairs

In August we were able to attend both county fairs a few times. T the BCF Britta was able to help the Beatty family with their goats, and at the WCF the 3 oldest kids and Bill and I all submitted exibits to be judged. We all placed with either 1st, 2nd or 3rd in at least one of our exibits.
Britta is shown with her 1st place baby blanket that she knitted for Karina.
